Big Surprise at work!!

My husband and I work on a military base, and we are in the process of completing a remodel of a warehouse. Anyway I was cleaning up some used lumber and I took it to the dumpster. When I came back I noticed I had missed a 2x4, it had some nails in it, so I picked it up with my fingertips on one side and thumbs on the other. As I lifted it I seen a snake!! After I did a matrix like move over a pallet of stuff and was standing there recovering. An electrician that works with us asked me what was going on. I told him about the snake, he doesnt like snakes, so him and some other guys- including my dh, gathered around to investigate. Well after it was beheaded it was determined it was a baby rattlesnake. OMG if i had picked up the 2x4 the way I normally do I would have been biten. So the moral is always be aware, please.

Second round of remodeling pictures

These are the latest pictures of the remodel

this is what most of the floor looks like-rotted

The temperature has been around 100-105 actual temp and up to 115 with the heat index, its been slowing down our progress alittle. We are planning to have it gutted by Sunday night, then begin buying the replacement materials Monday and starting on redoing the floors first. I mentioned before we were considering putting in laminate wood floor, but I seen these neat carpet tiles that they installed at work. Does anyone have experience with either one? As far as wear or up keep?
If you have any questions or what me to go more into detail please let me know.

Update on redoing the prowler.

Sorry its been a few days since I have wrote. So far we have stripped out all the upper cabinets, sofa, dinette booth, sink area. Well the damage is alittle worse then what we at first thought. Under the sofa area, it ran the whole front of the camper, all of the flooring and 3 walls surrounding it are all rotted. In some places completely gone. I decided in order to meet our Aug. 15 deadline i'd have to call in reinforcements, my parents are heading down this weekend to help.

My dad is a carpenter as well, he can redo or fix just about anything, and my mom well she is a great designer and knows how to move us along lol. We have been thinking about redoing the floor with laminate wood, the kind that snaps together, its pretty light and the cost isnt to high.  I still havent figured out to add pictures but will work on it somemore so everyone can see what we are working with.

On a side note we are having a rummage this weekend. I have sold some stuff through craigslist but still have a way to go. The goal is to have the rv redone and sold most of our stuff, we will put the rest in storage, by Aug. 15. We still have a contract to work in okc, ok until the end of Sept. but our boss has asked us a couple of times if we would like to take another contract until Aug of next year. I personally dont want to stay but if we did it would be a nice traveling egg.

Well its starting to cool off some so time to get to work. Thanks for reading

The decision to RV fulltime

After doing my monthly budget last month I decided I was tired of working to rent a house. My dh and I do ok but we could be saving more, or a new truck would be nice. I was talking with my dad when the subject of Rv's came up and a light went off. Can you live in a RV? I have no experience at all with any type of RV. So I began researching and found that alot of people do live in Rv's and love it. I looked around for a few days then brought it up to my dh. At first he looked at me like I was insane, but said yea ok that would be pretty cool. I began listing things on craigslist and searching for an RV. We bought a 87' Prowler 24' TT day before yesterday, it needs completely restored inside. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures and such I will.
